Get Involved

Through culturally sustaining education, healing-centered engagement, and workforce development, VOICES provides the relationships, resources, and opportunities for youth to heal, grow, and further their path towards economic self-sufficiency and civically engaged lives.

Volunteers

VOICES believes that playing a role in systems-level change is the only way to achieve their long-term vision: bringing about the day when every Indianapolis child, family, and community has the tools, resources, and collective capacity they need to lead self-determined lives. We can’t do this alone and we need you! People in the community with the passion and drive to make a difference.

Our Volunteers:

  • Mentors
  • Fundraising/events
  • Tutors
  • Service-Learning projects

Community Partnerships

VOICES believes in a “nothing about us without us” mentality. Our robust support of the community and its partners are paramount to seeing youth and families thrive. For that reason, we value working alongside schools, businesses, non-profit organizations, and other small groups who are vested in making our community grow and better. If you or your organization would like to partner with VOICES, contact us here to get started.

Corporate Partnerships

Since 2010, VOICES has co-created innovative programming with their youth and communities, but we haven’t done it alone. It takes a village, and where the villages have thinned, VOICES fills in the gap to provide access to resources, tools, and opportunities for youth and families to thrive. If you would like to support VOICES in “village building,” connect with us here.

HB 1359 Youth & Family Advisory Group Impact Report

For over a decade, VOICES has leveraged their expertise in juvenile justice, social work, and education to meet the needs of over 3,000 youth and families. In September of 2022, VOICES was given the opportunity to recruit, train, and facilitate a Youth and Family Workgroup with community members across the state of Indiana. In partnership with the Youth Justice Oversight Committee (YJOC) and the Commission on Improving the Status of Children in Indiana.

Through this process, 30 members with system involvement were selected to participate in the Youth and Family Work group to help guide and advise on the work of YJOC.
