A Season of Warmth, Dignity, and Community Support
Every December, something special happens at VOICES. Our building fills with warmth, generosity, and a sense of community that can only come from people caring for one another. For many Indianapolis families, the holidays bring not just celebration, but financial pressure and emotional strain. The VOICES Holiday Holiday Store, presented in partnership with the Pacers Sports & Entertainment Foundation, helps replace that stress with joy, dignity, and hope.
This year’s Holiday Store returns on December 19 from 12 to 3 p.m., continuing a tradition that has become one of the city’s most trusted holiday giving opportunities. As families search for holiday toy drives, gift assistance, and community support programs, VOICES remains a place where parents can choose the right gifts for their children at no cost—and know they are surrounded by people who genuinely care.
Why the VOICES Holiday Store Matters for Families
What makes the Holiday Store meaningful is not simply the distribution of toys, but the experience itself. Parents enter a festive, welcoming space where they can select gifts that align with their children’s personalities, interests, and needs. This ability to choose is powerful—it preserves dignity, strengthens the parent-child connection, and ensures every child receives something thoughtful.
Young people connected to VOICES also witness the generosity of donors, volunteers, and partners firsthand. They see an entire community investing in their well-being, reinforcing a sense of belonging and self-worth that lasts far beyond the holiday season.
Introducing Registration to Better Serve the Community
For the first time, the Holiday Store will introduce a registration system. Traditionally, the event has been first-come, first-served—a model that allowed families to walk in freely but also created long lines, unpredictable turnout, and difficulty preparing enough gifts.
As demand for holiday giving programs in Indianapolis continues to grow, registration helps ensure every family that arrives receives support. It allows VOICES to plan inventory, reduce wait times, and create a smoother, more dignified shopping experience.
A Community Effort Powered by Generosity
The success of the Holiday Store is in part due to our partnership with the Pacers Foundation and our community partners, who enable us to reach more families than ever before. Every donated toy, every sponsored family, and every volunteer hour helps create a joyful holiday experience for local children. This year’s partnership with the Pacers Sports & Entertainment Foundation allows VOICES to reach more families than ever before. Their commitment to uplifting Indianapolis youth reflects the true spirit of the season—collaboration, compassion, and community care.

We also gratefully accept gently used toys.
