Collaborate with V.O.I.C.E.S.
As a 501c3 organization, we look at our youth as opportunities to shape a brighter future. The youth of today are facing challenges that those before us couldn’t have imagined. Therefore, it is not only critical, but an obligation to broaden our views on how to reach them and tap into the potential that we know lies within them. V.O.I.C.E.S. Corp. is always looking for volunteers and teaching artists for our programs that can help develop and shape our participants. This process of youth development requires an open mind and the need to understand from the youth’s point of view how best to reach, serve, and work with them. We offer an innovative way for our communities to nurture and enlighten youth, as well as create an environment for success.
We are seeking individuals with an artistic or teaching background for our staff. We are interested in poets, authors, musicians, community advocates, and individuals with educational backgrounds.
We are looking for individuals with accounting, fundraising, educational, juvenile justice/advocacy backgrounds to join our board.
V.O.I.C.E.S. facilitators serve as living models of the commitment to imaginative language and are uniquely capable of sharing an artist’s insights into the creative process.
V.O.I.C.E.S. Teaching Artists are professional writers, performers, bloggers, playwrights, musicians, and visual artists. Most of our staff have received awards for their work. We continue to strive for diversity with our instructors and are committed to placing artists who are sensitive to specific student populations. All teaching artists are paired with an experienced facilitator and complete orientation prior to site placement.
Teaching artists are also required to submit to local law enforcement background checks, Child Protective Services Checks, Sex Offender Registry Checks, as well as National Fingerprint checks prior to job placement.
